  • The term begins on February 19, 2024

Today’s college students have a difficult time of it. In addition to the skyrocketing costs of college tuition, the quantities that students will need to pay for housing and transportation have also increased substantially. Many students struggle to cover these expenses so that they can pursue their educational and professional objectives. Students who attend college in states or regions of the country that are far from their families frequently encounter additional challenges and increased costs, and they may worry that they are unprepared to deal with these issues.

At Fawell & Fawell, we are aware of the issues that college-bound students from out-of-state face, and we have designed a scholarship program to assist these students. Through the Fawell & Fawell Out-of-State Student Scholarship, we award $1,000 per semester to a qualified student who will be pursuing educational opportunities in a state other than the one in which they graduated high school or in which their parents currently reside. These funds may be used to cover tuition, housing, other educational expenses, or transportation-related expenditures.

Who qualifies?

Students who wish to apply for the scholarship must:

  • Get enrolled in or accepted to a college or university that is located in a state other than where they attended high school or where their parents currently reside.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 from the most recent academic semester completed
  • Should be at least 17 years of age.
  • Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
